Before you send it
Give every invoice its own number, set the tax rate (or 0%) and fill in how to pay. Then save it as a PDF and send that, so the client can’t change it by mistake.
Invoice rules depend on your country. Check whether you must show things like a VAT number, a tax note or a business registration number.
